Here is a list of things to do in Truro when it isn't a beach day:

1. Truro Historical Society Museum at the Highland House  Highland Light Rd. North Truro  (508) 487-3397
Built in 1907, The Highland House was THE place to stay on the lower Cape. You could rent one of their 55 rooms for only $8.00 per week with meals included! Furnished with Victorian furniture the museum will give you a glimpse into the everyday life of the past.  http://www.trurohistorical.org/

2. Highland Lighthouse (Cape Cod Light) Highland Light Rd. 3.  Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod, Route 6A, North Truro (508)487-6200
Daily wine tastings and sales.

4.  Truro Library,  5 Library Land (off Standish Way), North Truro (508) 487-1125 http://www.trurolibrary.org

5.  Days Self Service Market,  Route 6A, North Truro.     This 1931 store is a throwback to an earlier, simpler time. A time of the corner grocer, before the advent of supermarkets.  This store is across the street from the famous row of flower-named cottages along beach point in Truro.

6. Dutra's Market,  Rt. 6A at Highland Rd. North Truro.  Another throwback to the quaint general store of yesteryear.   In the 1980's, the TV show "Unsolved Mysteries" filmed an episode at the market  about an alien abduction.
